A selection of "Word Out" originals recorded live at Japanese jazz clubs Nardis (Kashiwa) and Salt Peanuts (Tokyo) with a Zoom H4n Handy Recorder. Two compositions are previously unreleased ("Ikigai" and "House of Granate"), while the other eight are reprises of tunes from my previous studio albums: Spirit of the Snail (2015) and Word Out (2009). The record, mostly in a classic jazz piano trio format, features Ryoichi Zakota on bass and Ryo Noritake on drums throughout. Special guests Akiko Horii (percussion) and Hiroshi Fukutomi (guitar) appear on "Ikigai" and "Fuji" respectively. Special thanks go to Benjamin Garson for mastering the album (in France between January and March of 2021), as well as Takehiko Komine (Nardis) and Hisashi Nakano (Salt Peanuts) for hosting the gigs back in September of 2016.
